Hickey knows that Eda's following him. She's here, lost in the chase as well, ready to hunt down their prey and join in the pack. It's absolutely perfect. He's so lost in that single-minded focus that he bolts into the street and immediately gets hit by a car.

There's a sickening crunch as his body skids down the asphalt. Some of those bones are obviously broken and there is definitely some internal bleeding there, as his body lies on the concrete in a lump. There's a moment as Hickey tries to catch his breath, breathing through absolutely cracked ribs that he thinks 'Not now. Not like this. Not when he's so close.'

Something listens.

He's still on the ground in a lump but his shallow breathing starts to get deeper and deeper as his body slowly starts to knit itself back together.
