[ maybe if shiro had been there, seen it all himself, he’d be more kind in his assessment, but with the information coming through keith, the suspicion of mind control is painted in the worst possible light. can mind control ever be seen as good though? when the odds are against you, shiro doesn’t fight fair either, so it’s not that. what it comes down to is that shiro is -- afraid of the unpredictability of it and the inability to do anything if she feels so inclined to use it on adi or one of them.

this all, of course, assumes keith isn’t jumping to conclusions and she actually has this kind of power. she does sound like she’s confirming it though.
