"Agreed. It's a dangerous situation." He huffs a quiet breath, then pauses to offer Shiroe some paper towels. "Blot lightly, don't wipe," he advises gently.
He pauses, turning to the mirror again and looking at his own weary, haunted eyes.
"I want to know what happens if they burn down an entire tent full of people. Or rather, I don't want to know. If the train crash was an offering of some sort, then it stands to reason they might have something bigger and worse in mind, eventually." Hundreds, maybe thousands of people offered up in the name of whatever Fenix and his crew are feeding. The idea forms a cold knot in Jaeger's stomach, and he looks to Shiroe again.
"We should be comparing notes at headquarters and discussing this. I feel like we're still missing pieces, but the ones we have don't lead anywhere good."
