Jaeger does make note of those little details, those little bits of 'not quite right' that remain after the act. He feels a little bad that it takes some of the wind out of Pyre's sails, but his analytical mind has seized onto the whole situation. There's a puzzle here, and he wants to get to the root of it.

"I know you can't give away your tricks, I'm just trying to figure out how you did it. Because that's really impressive, considering you don't have any set-up here." Jaeger's tone is mild, with just a thread of intent behind it. He wants to know, and there's no hiding that particular impulse.

"Dare I say, it would be a good...warm-up to the main event?" He doesn't crack jokes often, but okay, this one just set itself up.
