There's a nostalgia that leads him to put down a little money at various booths.
It's also how he ends up with a fat stuffed unicorn from a lucky throw. Does anyone want a plush? Because he's looking bemused at his new best friend. ]

[ When he finally gives up, Tomas is unsteady as he looks around and can't for the life of him remember how he got here. And the most unsettling thing is the closest he's ever come to feeling like this in the past was when he opened his mind to a demon. Muttering a prayer under his breath, Tomas stays in one place until his head clears and he can find his way back to the lights of the midway. ]
