Realistic. Gil makes a noise that's more acknowledgement than response. He sticks close to Malcolm when they leave the big top, until a claustrophobic mother catches him by the sleeve outside the funhouse. She asks him to walk her kid through it. Apparently he looks trustworthy, which should be a compliment, but he's not particularly enthusiastic about going inside.

Still, he says yes, then gives Malcolm his sternest look. "Wait. Here."

He shepherds the over-enthusiastic, over-sugared kid through the annoying and disorienting attraction, frowning suspiciously at the plain old mirror when they get to the end. He releases the kid to his mom, smiles at her and says it was no trouble at all, and takes a half-step on his way. And nearly trips.

Jessica Whitly walks through the crowd in one of her irrationally expensive outfits, a look on her face that can't seem to decide if it's disdainful or disgusted.

"Jess!" Gil bolts after her without a second thought, losing her, finding her, getting steadily more disoriented as he goes. "Jess!"
