Jeff doesn't totally get what it means to be more spin than smoke, but... It makes a kind of sense. He thinks of the thing coiled up inside him like a snake, burrowed where the Gift used to be, living in the space that Ziggy used to occupy. That thing doesn't have any interest in wildfires and blazing destruction. It's much more satisfied when Jeff... yeah. Twists things. Makes people spin.

He shouldn't accept the card. That grin alone says enough. And here's Jeff taking it anyway, reaching out with tentative, curious fingers.

"I will." Maybe. Possibly. He doesn't know yet. Jeff looks from the card, to the unsettling ringmaster, before he pockets it. "Thanks, man."

He starts to head out, pausing and turning back to Fenix as one last question hits him.

"What did you mean, one of mine? Who..." Or what? Somebody Gifted, maybe? Or something else? Whatever the case, there's a clear longing in his voice.
