And if anyone stands a chance of figuring out how to bridge the gap between this reality and home, it's probably - as distasteful as the notion seems - one of the bastards who've been doing exactly that in the service of their Rejoining. Old habits are far too easy to slip back into.
So the mention of burdens gets a slight smile in return, and something that's more than a nod but less than a bow - "No greater than any other the Paragons hath yet inflicted; I shall endure it." - before he gestures to their surroundings. "Of the library, such as it is, hast thou hitherto availed thyself?"
