catchall for 1/2 december 2022
Who: Katrina, Eda, and 2-3 more of you
When: First half of December
Where: Dogtown, ADI HQ, around the warehouse
Summary: Exploration and TDM prompts
Warnings: Memory loss (exploration thread); other warnings to be added as needed
exploration [closed to Eda]
The meadow is beautiful, but just being here makes Katrina's head hurt in a way she can't describe. It's more than physical, but not all-encompassing-- but Mother does it burn!
"Eda--!" Katrina forces herself to keep her eyes open, to keep her friend in sight. "Do you see an enemy?!"
survival skills [ota, 1-2 tag-ins only, please]
The only skill of those being taught here Katrina is not proficient in is building a fire, because there's not much use for fire when you live underwater. Snares and traps are familiar to her, but she practices with a teacher regardless, because the lower density of air means she needs to make adjustments to what she knows.
But the rest? Easy.
She is stern-faced and intense no matter what she's teaching, which makes her seem unfriendly, but she prefers that to trying to smile and scaring people away outright. Combst And swimming at her main areas and where she spends most of her time throughout the month. She can also be found giving tips and instruction to those interested in hunting. You can't depend only on traps and snares, and she'll say as much to anyone who seems to look interested in learning.
warehouse stakeout [ota, 1 tag-in only, please]
The air is cold and damp, which she likes because it reminds her of home. She would rather be doing something more active, but she knows better than anyone that she would be awful at infiltration. Katrina is still too stiff and unhumanlike to pass for a regular human, and she knows next to nothing about human religions. She'd stick out like a sore thumb and ruin the investigation before it even starts.
"You are cold?" she asks her partner in watching the warehouse. She brought a bag with snacks and another jacket, just in case. Most of the offworlders get colder faster than she does.
