Raine chuckled softly at the mention that they'd be there all night. It trailed off into a soft exhale at the offer.

Their eyes stayed down on her hand, resisting the urge to hold their hands up, palm to palm. Comparing the ways they've changed, her talons and feathers and... they wanted nothing more than to trace every line and difference she's gained in the years.

But.. they would need time, and this? This was just one night, and they didn't want to let her go.

"I would like that, having you here.. if you'd have me." They spoke hushed and uncertain but with a warm fondness that laced its way through their voice.

Raine then slipped from her grasp to scoot over on their bed to the side a bit more and pat the spot they'd made beside them.

"We're prepared now if it happens again after all. Better to be in it together."
