Eda chuckled into their shoulder at that little snort, it always used to feel like scoring a point to be able to make them lose their composure in little ways.
All of this was starting to feel surprisingly familiar. Being up at an odd hour of the night with them, just… talking and snuggling and playing with their hair and making each other laugh. It was nice, if she ignored the context. She was starting to realise just how touch-starved she was these days.
After a moment she pulled away enough to answer, but stayed close. "Titan… where do I even start," she muttered half to herself.
"I've learned a lot about the curse. I used to think when I changed that maybe it was just–me but out of control or… something." Eda glanced away, trying not to dwell on how that had made her feel. Even if that was what she wanted to help Raine avoid.
"I mean I used to have nightmares about it but… I didn't know it was genuinely its own thing. A real animal that used to exist. Someone hunted it down and turned it into a curse scroll."
