He jerks his head away from Martin, but suddenly he’s freed and before he knows it, there’s Martin with a mortal wound and Malcolm with a knife.
…honestly, he knows he shouldn’t but he was about to give a round of applause to Malcolm.
“Hey.”
His voice is gentle, holding his hand out to Malcolm.
“He can’t hurt you anymore.”
