Manji actually was interested in some of what is being said. Or at least curious about this "power point" thing. He's not sure he'll ever stop being amazed by the technology around him. Unfortunately a lot of it goes so far over his head that he does occasionally get bored. While not an idiot, Manji was much more a man of action which might be why he needs the occasional prod to wake up.
