"Maybe I should try that, then. I'll even already be at work in the morning, how convenient."

He's talking, but his attention is fixed on that gate. They're almost there, but he doesn't think he'll trust it until they're there - and, honestly, a good several yards beyond it. "You see the gate, too, right?"
