"That feels... extremely silly," Eda says with a sigh. Or at least, at home it would feel extremely silly. Here, it really is a good idea all things considered.

After a slight pause she takes the rope and ties it around herself. It's probably better to play things safe in this place, as much as she doesn't love doing that. Then again, she's had a lot of practice lately, even before getting here.

Once it's secure, she taps a knuckle on the staff and it flies the short distance to the boat. She slides off and drops onto it, making it wobble slightly but fortunately stay mostly stable. She keeps the staff in one hand, but it closes its eyes and wings for the time being. It would pass for an ordinary walking stick, if she hadn't just used it for magic.
