He makes a good point, but she still feels odd about openly carrying a deer carcass with hands for antlers and feet, so she pulls off her waistcoat - quickly adjusting her shirt to make sure it's still properly tucked in - and arranges the waistcoat over the deer's head, doing her best to cover as much as possible.

It barely covers only one antler, and now that she looks at it, the covering probably just draws more attention to it. But she doesn't exactly want the waistcoat back now, not until it's been washed, so she leaves it.

She nods to Winter and takes the rifle, preparing to help him steady the deer as needed.
