Steve shrugs one shoulder. "He knew, I think, yeah. We never really talked about it." He'd always figured it was Bucky's choice, whether he wanted to reach out to them or not. He doesn't think he had; he doesn't really blame him, either.

His lips finally twitch up, and Steve says, "That's cheating, I think. Trying to figure out what another you did, so you don't have to."

He means it gently.
