"Wh-" Jon yelps when Martin bends down and scoops him up into his arms. He struggles a little (but perhaps not as aggressively as he should), shoving at Martin's chest and cluching his cane.

"Martin what are you doing? Put me down!"

He isn't a child! And this is embarrassing.
