Trying to disrupt a potential ritual is a possibility.
Or because they encroached on a piece of 'claimed' territory. That's a possibility.
And I'd go with Hunt if I had to make a suggestion. They don't need any reason except... the hunt.
I arrived a bit over a year ago. I was a researcher before. I just read a lot.
