Steve almost, almost ignores the buzzing of his phone in his pocket. But lucky(?) for everyone, he doesn't, pulling it out - and then frowning at it. The number it's coming from, though, is what decides him, and he slips the earpiece in, admittedly glancing around a little as he does so.
