"It wouldn't have to be false reports, just bad interpretation of the data," Yelena says, chewing absently on the inside of her lip as she considers the beach and the tip that had sent them out there. "Trying to fit it into a familiar shape."

She falls silent while he snaps his photos, her attention on watching for threats as he documents this slice of coastline. Nothing makes itself apparent, and she's not certain if she's relieved or disappointed. The former is the more rational response, but there's something to be said for having a concrete target.

She nods her agreement to his suggestion, and offers a bare edge of a smile as trots over from her post. "It will at least be a good reason to get out of headquarters again. I don't know if this is a false alarm, but someone definitely wants us distracted. And at each other's throats."
