The delay after Eda shuffled around something- boxes, Raine assumed- made a feeling deep, and profoundly troubling gnaw at the bard's chest.
They'd become accustomed to this feeling of worry since before the events of the House. They'd tried to ignore it, to get rid of it. But, in time, not addressing it had allowed it to eat hollows in their lungs and stomach. It made their shoulders feel heavy, and made them feel like maybe this was silly. So much had changed- they both had, despite missing the time that allowed the shirt too.
How could they even know Eda was still interested in these things, after everything?
Eda's chin on their shoulder pulled Raine away from that dark well of thought with a sharp breath. They tilted their head enough to look over at Eda.
"Oh, it's just. Some of your things I found mixed in with mine that are.. Sentimental."
